RESIN PARTS:
The Verlinden kit contained into the same box
some resin parts of great quality.
For ensambling I applied Zip-a-Gap or Cyanoacrylato glue to get a
better result. The pieces that I ensambled were:
* Turret compartment
* Hand-tool of the cables
* Jack Winde Crec
GREIF ACCESSORIES:
These accessories are of very good quality and
are perfect to give a better aspect of your tank. For
ensambling I applied Zip-a-Gap or Cyanoacrylato glue to get a better
result. The pieces that I ensambled were:
* Chains in the
pre-cleaners
* Chains in the light-compartment - (Bosch)
* Pair of lights - Bosch
* Cables
* Plate for make clamps
TOOLS FOR PAINTING:
The tool I used was a professional double action aerograph with
integrated glass that comes specially with an air minicompressing of the
same mark for this aerograph although I think it serves to the others,
using acrylics of Tamiya and isopropílico alcohol, oils, bidistilled
turpentine spirit, pastel colors and Tru-film (lacquer-plastic matte).
PAINTING PROCEDURE:
Before beginning to use the aerograph, it is recommended to make
tests in a piece of cardboard or heavy paper until seeing the thin and
firm lines and being sure that are ok!. In the aerograph I apply 70% of
alcohol and 30% of XF-60/dark-yellow in all the tank including the
center of the wheels in which I previously applied a mask with Mr.
Masking Sun of Gunze Sangyo in the borders that were already black, I
used thin brush since broaches-applicator of humbrol is very heavy,
then, applied one second layer of the XF-60/dark-yellow until being sure
that the model does not have any corner without painting. On
the following day I painted camouflaged with 70% of isopropílico
alcohol and 30% of XF-24/dark green, after this I decided to follow
recommendations to leave in rest the model during 48 hours before coming
to the following phase.
TRACKS:
While passing to the following phase I started to paint the tracks
with wash of No.62/matt-leather de Humbrol with thinner in both sides
leaving it to dry during 3 hours, then, a wash of XF-64/red-Brown of
Tamiya in the surface being the previous painting in the hollows giving
it an aspect of oxide and finally with dry brush with XF-16/flat
aluminium in the surface not to totally cover the previous applications
with a very real and satisfactory finishing.
