MAKING DAMAGE OVER ARMOR.

Before to start the weathering, I decided to add some damage of battle. Here I thinned and broken the arm of skirt in order to place an chain completing the support. as they would in the field of battle.

For impacts, I am using: awl, hand-drill and a scriber.  Awl for mark the zone to damage; hand-drill for make the hole and scriber for "molding" the hole.  I will aplying the same methon in some skirts and muffler.

Damaged finished:  front plate, muffler and skirts.  The final effect will be complete with the weathering.

My procedure for weathering is simple: For treat the lower part of chassis, wheels, tracks and skirts I am using white glue mixed with water, brush and dust marble.

1).- With soft brush I am apliyng the white glue in the parts to treat.    2).- sprinkle the dust marble abundantly.    3).- With a hard brush carefully flatten the powder, turn, shake and go!  I have applied dust on the shores of the armored as well as inside the skirts and tracks. The outer skirts are applied when the weathering starts.  Last step before to weathering:   some layers of Vallejo #060, Satin Varnish.

WEATHERING:

Chipping: I used a mix of Vallejo (Model Color) #70950, Black 30% + # 70940, Sadle-brown, my application method was, spongue and brush and after of apliyng I added a layer of Satin Varnish.

I am a classic and traditional modeller.  I have not used the new products already prepared for filters and aging because I like to continue using the ingenuity to do it but I know that I will soon fall and buy those products but meantime I continue as usual.

I applied a filter using Humbrol enamel #94, Matt-brown-yellow mixed with Enamel thinner, it is similar to the Kursk earth; was brushed in all the tank and with a cleaned brush I removed the excess of the filter in the green splotches and chipping.   As you can appreciate, the color has change a bit.

The weathering was simple, I used Humbrol #94, Brown-yellos, #34, white and #10 (gloss) service-brown all mixed with Humbrol Enamel/thinner, some retouchs with #H10 and black pigments (Rodin) mixed with Humbrol, Enamel/thinner and finally I applied with airbrush MIG/AMMO Lucky Varnish Ultra-mate.

Now, I will work the Panzer Commander figure.  Finished work in the following page, thanks for see my work!.
